The Story Behind “We Tha Plug”

“We Tha Plug”  was started in February 2019 in Silicon Valley as a meetup group that would connect and empower Black, Latino, other minorities & underrepresented founders as well as Minority Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors in the Startup, Tech & Innovation space.

We Tha Plug’s official launch took place June 2019 in partnership with Startup Week SD, BLINK SD & Republic.co

One of our goals is to create an ecosystem that advocates tech and innovation entrepreneurship in Black & Latino communities across the United States and across the world. We want to provide an ecosystem that gives founders access to startup fundamental education, advice, mentorship, programming, and funding.

“We Tha Plug’s” overall mission is to raise the awareness of innovation in Black and Latino communities in technology and create an ecosystem for entrepreneurs from grassroots to professional levels. We have over 200+ Black & Latino Founders in our global organization.
